Method for Assessment for Primary Section


Our school will follow the following evaluation method for Std. 1 to VIII from now on according to the directions given in the latest Government Resolution.

Every child will be assessed on two categories.
They are A) Formative B) Summative.
A) Formative is the assessment done over a period of time
B) Summative is done at the end of a term or year.

Aggregate will be taken twice a year each for 100 marks and only Grades will be issued for each subject in the Report Card. At the end of the year, the average marks of both the terms will be calculated and the Final Grade will be given in the Report Card.

The subject teacher may use any of the methods mentioned below.

Methods to be used for Formative Assessment.
  1. Daily observation
  2. Oral work ( e.g. recitation, reading , oral question answers)
  3. Practical / Experiments
  4. Activities
  5. Projects
  6. Surprise Tests / open book Test
  7. Home work / Class work. ( question and answers , composition )
  8. Others : (worksheets )

Method for Assessment for Pre-Primary Section


Pre- Primary Section follows monthly assessment method for Nursery, L.K.G. & U.K.G. aggregate marks will be taken twice a year, each for 50 marks. At the end of the year the average marks of both the terms will be calculated and the final percentage, grade will be given in the report card .

Grades are also given for personality traits on the basis of child’s hygiene, cleanliness, attendance & attention in the class.
